American Idol, the hit Fox television show is reporting that Katy Perry has indeed turned down $20 million to be a judge on the upcoming season. Reports have it that Fox initially offered Katy a cool $18 million, which was turned down — then the Idol team upped the stakes and offered an eye popping $20 million for a one year contract.
It’s reported that money wasn’t the issue for Katy (obviously not!), it looks like Katy doesn’t think being on American Idol is the right career move. Thumbs up to Katy for sticking to her guns! We hope she’s working on something more important…her next album!
